88 GT, need help!

Hello, I recently put a ton of parts on my car, (Trick Flow Top End Stage 2, new radiator, electric fan, etc.) and also a new computer. He said if we put on a new computer and kept it speed density, it would make it more flexible for future mods and it would be cheaper. well 2 months later, i have the car and it runs horrible. A mustang mechanic near me said that converting it to mass air would solve all my problems. I need to know what all i will need and if you have any advice for me. Thanks.

If you did the full top end kit that includes their cam, then yes, a mass air conversion needs to be done. Speed density relies on vacuum and the cam in that kit changes the vacuum significantly where the car will not idle properly. A mass air conversion will resolve that.
