Stock radiator, will this help run cooler?

I have a stock radiator and with a 140 degree thermostat but my 89 5.0 lx runs hot when the weather is warm and humid out in New England during the spring and summer. Car usually runs between 200 to 225 degrees. Would like to see the car run cooler during the summer, especially in traffic as watching my temp gauge become nerve wrecking.

Is this a fairly easy removal of the stock fan in install and does this contain all that I need to have the fans run and kick in when they are needed. Do they need anything else to run efficiently and cooler?

Would appreciate some help! Thanks

We have the same problems here in texas, I would go with a larger aluminum radiator and fan kit, here is a link to the kit on our site.

You would also need a fan controller with electric fans. Here is a link to it as well.

Thanks for this very helpful info! Sounds very promising and a good fix to my heating issue. I will have to look into this and purchase it so I can drive and enjoy my mustang at a cooler running temp! - Chris last year
