Community Q&A Question: clutch fork bent?

Asking About: Mustang Clutch Fork Fits 4 And 5 Speed (82-93)

clutch fork bent?

I have an 87 and having engagement issues. The clutch fork when in the bell sits halfway forward with no pressure and was wondering if that could be an issue. Car has aftermarket quadrant, new steeda cable, firewall adjuster and new zoom clutch.

Was wondering if you got your problem fixed? I think I've got somewhat the same issue. Put a new t5 and bell housing in my 91 fox and having trouble now. Car won't go into gear while the car is running - Chad last year

You will need to inspect the pivot stud and the springs on the fork to make sure everything is working properly. For the price of replacing it, getting a new one is always the best route to go.
