Community Q&A Question: Cam idle

Cam idle

Since I'm running a stock 4.6l 2v on my 99 GT besides a CAI, I wanted to throw cams in for the nice loping idle, I have Longtubes waiting to be dropped in, what else is needed for these cams in my daily driver? Want this to last until I do a motor swap later on (when it becomes the....not daily driver) any help would be appreciated.

Requires aftermarket pistons or deeper flycut on factory pistons. Do not run with unmodified factory pistons as engine damage will occur. The operating range of these cam's will be 2200-6200 RPM, if this is an automatic car, you will need a stall to match these as well. If you are just wanting a bump in power and a idle difference, go with the Stage 1 rather than these. These will be designed for HIGHLY MODIFIED ENGINES ONLY!
