Dash Gauges are reading incorrectly

With the internal regulator on the 3g kits will it resolve my gauges issue? I don't like the "add on" regulators with extra brushes, and have replaced "regulator included" alternators 2 times and still have funky fuel, temp, and amp gauges.......
1989 hatch LX 5.0 5 speed. Car has had funky gauges for a few years and I have a tried cleaning and re-electrical greasing all the dash connections as well as the alternator / regulator attached on to it. Dash dimmer just went so that will be new soon thanks to you guys at LMR. Only electrical add ons is the black magic cooling fans and a mild stereo system all installed while still having funky read outs. Frustrating that I haven't figured this one out yet....... any help you have is great.

You may have underlying issues elsewhere, I would highly recommend thoroughly checking all grounds and circuits going to and from the instrument cluster. It is a pain, but the wiring inside the looms in the harnesses should be checked for breaks, burns, and grounding throughout the entire length of the wires. Chances are, if replacing 2 alternators did not fix your issue, installing a higher amp alternator will not remedy it either. Don't get me wrong, it is a great upgrade over stock and will provide excellent charging for any future electronics you may decide on installing.

Thanks for the feedback Steven. I have considered that myself, but all indications are pointing at 'external dash voltage regulator" which quite frankly is a much easier solution than tearing the dash back out.....
On the 89 the dash regulator is a bolt on to the alternator with its own set of brushes and I was sort of hoping I would hear it was fairly common that the add on wasn't working and replacing with internally regulated would do the trick.

I never heard of, or experienced, that as being the cause but it may be possible.
