I recently installed this bumpsteer kit on my mustang, the install was easy and after alignment I'm sure they will work great, but I have to ask those who may know better than me, would this kit benefit from a dust boot? I've been told these won't last as long as a normal tie rod end.
Adding a dust boot to a bumpsteer kit will likely cause more issues that it solves. There would be no way to completely seal it so moisture and dirt will still intrude and then be trapped around the joint and actually cause more damage that being wide open. Because these are intended more for track use, in a daily driven situation they will indeed have a shorter lifespan that a traditional tie rod end. How much shorter? Can't really say for sure.
