Asking About: Mustang SVE Performance Aluminum Cylinder Heads (79-95)

cam questions

I have a 302 block bored 30 over. I want to put a XEW68H comp cam in. Would these heads work? Or should I consider staying with the heads that cam with the engine? Also, how would I verify the type of heads I currently have? I have two sets n not sure what one(if either) I should use. Thanks in advance.

The SVE Cylinder Heads you asked about work with cams no more than .444 lift. This is assuming the block deck height is stock and not machined lower. I am not familiar with the cam you mentioned and do not know the specs on it. The SVE heads come with 2.02/1.60 valves and require stock style notched pistons for minimum clearance. A larger cam can be used but piston to valve clearance will need to be checked. As far as identifying the heads you have, there are several articles on the web that can help you with this,Here is a link that may help you.
