Trick Flow Stage 2 Top End kit

I am thinking of using this kit with your 1979-95 FORD MUSTANG 5.0L 302 ECONOMY SHORT BLOCK, in place of my stock engine that has some bottom end problems.

Do you know if there would be piston to valve clearance issues with this kit along with your short block?

Also, what else would be needed to support this kit and your short block?

If anything else is needed to support this kit and short block, what can I use from my factory setup, and what would i need to buy to support this? I am MAF equipped already, with a CAI.

As with all engine builds, you would definitely check the valve to piston clearance. This stage 2 cam has a .542 lift and you might have an issue. The Street Burner top end kit has the stage 1 cam with a .512 lift which would give you more clearance and is only 10 HP less.

As with any combination, all HP numbers are based off a engine that has a larger fuel system, exhaust system and a upgraded ignition system. A 70 MM throttle body and EGR spacer with 24 LB injectors and matching MAM is a good choice, A complete MSD ignition system is almost a must to ignite this huge amount of air and fuel that this new motor will be taking in,

Your factory harness, computer and sensors will all work with this setup.
