I see that there are 2 kits available, 1979-1986 Or 87-93. How do you determine which kit to use if the car has had parts added and removed/swapped? My car is an 84 but has an 8.8 out of I dont know what year, the front spindles may be stock but I have no idea. Still 4 lug, but I need new rotors pads in front, and would like discs in the rear but have no idea what the difference is between these kits or how to determine which is the exact one I need.

Joey, I would advise you to use the 79-86 kit. The main differences are the parking brake cables etc...the calipers and rotors are the same between the kits but the parking brake parts will make a big difference which kit you need. So in your case with the car being an 84 body with what I would assume 1984 interior and parking brake lever the 79-86 kit should work fine.
