Water Pump stud in the way

I am swapping a 351w into my 93 fox body which came with factory A/C. I put all the water pump bolts and studs in their correct locations. But, one of the studs is hitting this new bracket and not allowing it to bolt up properly. On the old bracket, there is an approx. 1 inch hole where the problem stud is that allows it to poke through. What am I doing wrong with this new bracket? Do I need a bolt in place of this stud?

You are correct. You can either replace the stud with a bolt or trim the stud until the bracket fits.

Had the same issue on my setup. Trimmed the stud with a saw an bolted the bracket on. Just fyi, the description on this says not to forget the power steering bracket.... Not necessary if yo get this bracket. The other 351w swap power steering bracket is only needed if you want PS and no AC.
