Anyone install this engine with aftermarket performance intake and, if so, did you have it dynoed for rear wheel horsepower rating? And how difficult/easy was the swap? Was an upgrade in other parts required?

I am not sure what year Mustang you are putting it in, but this engine is the same type block as a stock 302. You would need the appropriate intake, fuel and exhaust mods to support the 500 flywheel HP.

1990 lx coupe 5.0 5 speed. Mileage is getting up there but not done yet. I am looking at putting my replacement set up together and getting it ready to drop in. I have looked everywhere on the internet and cannot find any videos or posts with reviews if anyone else who used this engine. - Daniel last year

I believe it is a relatively new engine for FRPP. the 347 is a more popular engine for the street/strip application. It is a lot of HP and with the reputation of FRPP I believe it should be an awesome motor.

I am running a victor efi short runner intake, 80mm tb, 90mm maf, 42lb injectors, BBk shorty headers, BBk off road pipe, 44series flowmasters, and made just 397whp/387rwtrq on a very safe tune through a t56 magnum trans. I wanted a nice streetable tune. Runs smooth, idles great, doesn't run hot, and is a great street motor. Pulls in 6th gear cleanly from about 1200 rpms. This is in an 88lx.
