I've never had any sort of launch controller on my car. I have an AOD right now but will be swapping to a C4 soon. I see how the launch feature works with a standard transmission, as you have a clutch pedal to disengage the engine from the transmission. But with an automatic, will I need a transbrake to make this work? Thanks.
A trans brake will not be required, you can come up on the foot brake. However, you may run in to creeping through the lights depending on the stall speed of the converter and the RPM limit you set for the two step. With a little trial and error, you can match the selected rpm limit to the stall of your converter on the footbrake without having to worry about creeping.
