I would like more information on the 363 crate engine
Will the Super Victor intake, one inch spacer, and carb or Fast throttle body fuel injection system with an air filter fit under a stock hood? Will the stock fuel lines with a higher output in-tank fuel pump work, if not are your 3/8" lines large enough? What size exhaust pipes will be needed? How does the weight of the boss block with aluminum heads compare to the stock block with iron heads? Does the 363 torque over enough to need upgraded motor and trans mounts?
Kelvin, That combo you mentioned would not fit under a stock hood. An upgraded fuel system would be optimum for this engine such as one based with 3/8 lines. 1 3/4" longtube headers going to 2 1/2" mid pipes and cat back would be adequate. It would be advisable to use poly engine and trans mounts for better performance.
Tommy, thank you for your help. The 363's power rating was with this intake, spacer, and carb setup. If I want to the car to look innocent with a stock hood, would I loose less power by using a lower intake with the spacer, use the recommended intake without the spacer, or will need to use a shorter intake without the spacer? Is there a Victor Jr. for the 8.2 deck block and is it shorter than the Super Victor? If not what intake would be recommended and how much power will I lose?
