Jody Barber - 1986 Ford Mustang
My baby. I've owned her since 1996, resurrected her from rusty POS to shiny glory, even though there's still a pile of work ahead of me on interior and suspension.
Recently I had a "situation" with a quickie oil change place, and long story short, the engine is seized, and I want to keep it SBF based, nothing too over the top.
About 6 years ago, when the pan started to leak at the drain hole on the wheezy stock engine (which went 14.20's stock down to the 2.73's with only exhaust work) and the valve seals were so far gone she drank a quart of oil a tank, I found a nice low mile 88 HO longblock, topped it with a tubular GT40 intake, MAF conversion, BBK throttle body, shorty BBK's, OR-H, and a 2.5" Flowmaster American Thunder catback, with some very hard to find Chrome MAC tailpipes that I had on a shelf for quite a while. I had her painted 13 years ago, and I love the look every time I see her. The blue color is 94-95 Ford Mustang Bright Sapphire Metallic, BTW.
I made a haul from Memphis to Houston about a year ago, and the convoy pic here was a sight to see on the road. My wife's white '03 (Cassie) bringing up the rear, my dad's '99 F250 Powerstroke, and my baby on the trailer. Please toss your vote my way! I could really use it for the engine build I'm being forced into! Thanks fellow Stang-Bangers!
