Anthony DiStefano - 1988 Ford Mustang GT
I got lucky when I found this car, literally 500 ft from my back door. Parked next to a house and neglected for about ten years. Remarkably it was not a rusted out hulk and with only 79k miles on it! As you can see from the before and after photos it has come a long way in a year. With the help of LMR I was able to find most of the bits and pieces to get her back on the road. The engine is all stock with a flowmaster muffler and tailpipe set up, Ram Clutch, cable and quadrant kit, Five lug conversion, Ford bullet rims and tires. Interior is almost there, I just did the headliner and will probably get a new rug soon. This was a great project and considering it was my first attempt at Paint and Body work I think I did ok. Since the last photo I have added the black striping in the body-side moulding to break up the red a bit. Recently I found out that the T-Top cars are rare for 1988 who knew . . . .Thanks very much to LMR for the great parts and also the instructional videos . . . those are a huge help!! I'll be looking for another project car in the spring once this one is finished. Projects like this are a breeze when there is a great parts source like LMR . . .
