BMR Differential Lockout Bushings- Polyurethane
Increase rear end stability while reducing wheel hop, noise and vibration with BMR's 2015-2018 Mustang polyurethane differential lockout bushing kit! The factory rubber differential bushings have multiple air pockets that leave large voids. This is great for absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), but it leaves much to be desired in the performance department. BMR has designed this kit to be a non-permanent modification. This kit installs over the factory bushings, so NVH is almost unchanged.
BMR constructs this lockout kit using polyurethane for strength, durability, and noise/vibration reduction. Each plate is CNC machined for an exact fit. Once installed, the lockout plates fill the void between the bolt and bushing cup resulting in reduced wheel hop and almost no differential movement. In response to the feedback from Josh H, any differential mount solution will increase NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness). This has been confirmed with extensive testing with any upgrade that is rigid enough to increase performance by a significant amount. The truth is, IRS modifications such as these do NOT "cause a part to clunk" - they simply remove the soft compliance from the OE bushings that absorb the NVH - that is how auto manufacturers design their components. If there are noises present after installing upgraded chassis, suspension or driveline components, it is simply due to the lack of absorption, the clunk or noise was already present.
I have been using this same BK051 Kit on my 2016 PP GT for 9,700 miles now, and I would never remove it. I have changed my driving habits slightly to lessen any driveline clunks - and the only NVH increase that I notice and most will, is increased gear whine at select RPM ranges and vehicle speeds.

I bought these since my friend had the steeda version on his ecoboost S550. These were installed on my 15 GT PP. Not only were they difficult to install. Once installed they were so rigid they actually caused my driveshaft to clunk after every shift. It felt like something was loose. But in actuality was too rigid. Removing them was equally painful. After removed the Thud after every shift was gone. BMr even confirmed this was a known issue and recommended a one piece drive shaft? Really fix a $60 part with a $850 part? No thanks. Don't buy!!!
