The Force II kits deliver a moderate exterior tone and moderate to mild interior tone, and are suited to customers looking for efficiency improvements without a lot of noise. These kits are dyno proven for maximum performance.
High Quality Construction
This catback exhaust kit is made from 2.5" mandrel bent, aluminized steel to give you maximum performance for your 3.8 motor. This combination allows you to get more power while having an exhaust system that will last a lifetime.
I recently installed this exhaust on my '96 V6. Sounds better, throatier, but it is like a small V8 sound...not obnoxiously loud sounding and definitely not a droning sound on the highway. It seems to get a little louder at 2,500 RPM's, where it wakes up. The problems I've had with this kit is that the flange to bolt it to the existing Y-pipe needs to have one of the holes opened up quite a bit with a die grinder so that hardware threads thru. The other problem that I am experiencing is that the passenger side, rear-most hanger, that is welded to the polished exhaust rubs on the fuel tank horizontal flange, I was told by an exhaust guy to bend the flange downward with a pipe wrench.
Yes, I would recommend this item to a friend!

This set bolted right onto my stock '96 V6. It gives it the look of a GT and more of a growl when accelerating, but not that annoying drone that you'd find in a two stage muffler. Nice upgrade when your stock one $ h ! T $ the bed.
Flowmaster - The Exhaust Technology Company Flowmaster operates the only exhaust Research & Design facilities of its kind in the world, centered around the SuperFlow SF-7100 engine dynamometer complete with E.C.A. (engine cycle analysis) equipment and also SuperFlow chassis dyno's.
Through use of these dyno's, Flowmaster's engineering staff can track the complete engine cycle in millionths of a second and can obtain exact technical data of each degree of cam rotation, from induction to the tip of the exhaust system, while also showing the power numbers that really matter, the power numbers "to the ground."
Flowmaster also utilizes Spectrum Analyzers to fine "tune" the sound of each of the eleven different series of mufflers that Flowmaster currently offers, both for peak performance and just the right sound levels and tones. Flowmaster's dedication to quality is what makes them the exhaust industry leader for Latemodel Mustangs and SVT Lightnings!
