The newest addition to Manual Rack & Pinion steering is lighter than the factory Mustang power system - reducing vehicle weight by 10-15 lbs. (depending on vehicle specifications) by eliminating hoses, pulleys and pumps. Also, the billet aluminum mounting brackets can be adjusted to modify the pinion angle for large tube headers and engine swaps in custom applications.
LMR has put together this kit to make sure you have all you need to install this manual rack onto your 2005-2014 Mustang GT or V6. kits comes complete with steering rack, billet mounts, inner tied rods and steering shaft U-joint. All you have to do is transfer your factory outer tie rods over to the manual rack, modify the factory steering shaft end to accept the Flaming river u-joint, and bolt it up and you're done. Instant weight savings from removing all the power steering pump and associated lines as well as and increased power gains from your motor not having to turn the pump anymore.
