I bought this shift boot to replace the fake factory pleather boot on my 15 GT. I also bought this to match my GT350 steering wheel which ended up matching perfectly!! Since I would have to take off the shift adapter I decided to pair this with the Barton brushed aluminum shift adapter. You really don't realize just how cheap the factory shift adapter actually is until you see and feel the two side by side. The install was a little more difficult then expected. I highly recommend using a dremmel when removing the factory shift boot ring. Also purchasing a box of small metal binder clips is a must!!! The shift boot doesn't have hardly any extra give and the alcantara material doesn't stretch at all!! It's extremely difficult to glue the shift boot to the factory ring and have it stay in place to dry. The metal binder rings worked really well in keeping it all fastened in place to allow the glue to harden. I would have given this product a 5 had it not been for the difficulty in getting this to fit. All in all this is a great upgrade from that cheesy factory pleather boot and a great addition to the GT350 steering wheel. If your replacing the shift boot then you might as well replace the plastic shift adapter, it'll save time and looks soooo much better than the plastic one. Both products are huge improvements!!
