I was tired of having the amber bulb reflecting in the chrome housing and swapping these in completely solved that issue, completely chrome reflection. When the lights are on, they are significantly less bright than regular amber bulbs, but still within legal limits. The turn signals are still easily visible in direct sunlight. The only issue is that if the chrome "coating" on the bulb is lightly scratched, that scratch is super visible when the bulb illuminates. The scratches are hardly noticeable when the light is off when the bulb is in the housing.

Yes, I would recommend this item to a friend!
