Product Description

Mustang Front Main Seal Repair Sleeve
Got a leaking rear main seal on your 1979-2004 Mustang motor? This rear main seal repair sleeve can help make the fix! Over time, rubber seals can wear slight grooves into the metal seal surface which can cause oil to leak from the rear of your motor, where the transmission meets the motor. This Redi-sleeve repair kit easily installs onto your motor's output shaft with the included installation tool to make for a smooth mating surface for your new seal. Simply slide the sleeve onto the shaft and place the installation tool onto to sleeve. Slightly hammer the top of the tool to push the sleeve down to the bottom of the shaft. Once it has hit the bottom, you are ready to install the new seal and get your transmission reinstalled. This kit includes 1 sleeve and 1 installation tool.

- Fits 1979-2004 Mustang 2.3L, 3.8L,4.6L and 5.0L applications.
- Also fits Lightning Applications

1 Stars   Still leaks oil.

I bought this and used it after rebuilding my engine. Got everything together and running, and the rear main still leaks. Not too happy. Wasted my money.
From LMR.com: If this part was in stalled and the leak still is evident, then you may have a different issue. After reading that your motor is freshly built, the only thing I can think of is that if the main caps were line bored, it could have shifted the crank slightly in the rear main seal causing the leak. The only fix for this is the more expensive teflon rear main seal from Fel-Pro
