Super strong. Takes all the tower sway out of rear end. Nice wrinkle black coating.

5 Stars   Worth the money

I put this brace in my 83 gt and even though it was a slight pain in the ass locating the holes and making sure the brackets and stuff where straight level and in the right place I would do it all over again. Even after I put all new HR super race springs and new bushings and tubular control arms in the rear and a front steeda swaybar and rear belltech swaybar this strut Brace really did add to the handling and feel and if done right looks good and is sturdy.

4 Stars   Well made & nice fit

Image uploaded by robert l. This is a nice looking product and not too hard to install as long as you have an extra two hands. This install was the last piece of my bracing puzzle. I have a K-member brace, front shock tower brace, full length weld-on subframe connectors, and panhard bar but I still heard some creaking in the rear of the car. At first I was surprised to see the angles of the brackets when I test fit the brace, it just didn't seem like it would fit properly. I figure that that they put a little extra bend in these brackets so that they are sure to fit between the towers because the torque down procedure pulled them into the proper position easily. Does it work? I dunno. I was surprised how thin the fender well metal is where this thing attaches! It is super thin! I think it helped my "creaking issue" but that could stem from my amps being mounted to the rear seat brace. It no doubt helps support there area where it mounts, but the question is, is that really a weak area of the car? So, the take home message: it's nice, it's strong, it's not that hard to install, and it's only $80 so why not!? You decide.

3 Stars   Does not fit Fox Body Convertibles
By on 6/18/2014
I purchased this item thinking it would fit all 79-04 mustangs but was not happy to find out it will not fit my '89 convertible. It sits too high into the well liner to let the top retract completely. The item is made of good quality though and I ended up giving it away to one of my friends with a '99.

5 Stars   Had my doubts, but....

Image uploaded by Nick K. Bought directly from manufacturer (local to me). After speaking with him for a good while, i decided to give this a go and i am glad i did.

I am running a MM Parnhard bar with a poor man's 3 link and it used to make a lot of clunking going over bumps and into driveways. After installing this, all is well with the rear suspension.

Hardest part of the install was making the wheel wells for drilling, other than that, no issues whatsoever. I did end up making 1/4" plates for the wheel well to sandwich the factory sheetmetal for a little extra insurance.

5 Stars   Bang for the buck

For $79 this is one solid part. Only issue is I think it should come with a thick backer plate for the brackets. It just bolts to the fenderwell which is very thin. I made my own do I'd advise others to do the same. Figment was ehh but it's expected from a part made for many cars. Not difficult to install at all. Overall it's a nice addition to make the car more ridged.

5 Stars   Great fit, easy to install, looks great

Image uploaded by ryan c. I bought this shock tower brace hoping that I could put it through the stock shock access holes, and it fit like a dream. Did not have to trim the rear 1/4 panel interior at all. The brace fit snug between the fender wells right above the shocks. Simply unbolt the brace from its mount brackets to gain access to the shock mounting hardware. Looks great to boot!

5 Stars   Nice addition

Image uploaded by Scott H. I purchased this rear brace as a final piece to my chassis stiffening project. It is well made and was not all that hard to install. It may help to have a buddy help mark the locating holes, however it can be done alone (I did). It fit well and I can definitely tell it took any and all movement out of the rear shock mounts.

5 Stars   Awesome high quality product!

Image uploaded by Jaimes H. Shock tower brace looks awesome in car and seems like a super sturdy, high quality product! You will need 2 people to hold it in place before installation to mark it and make sure it's level. Kind of a pain to install but worth it when it's done. Depending on your ride height you might not even need to take the wheels off. Thanks Latemodel
