This kit features PowerStop Cobra-style brake calipers with Evolution drilled/slotted brake rotors and pads for the ultimate stopping setup! This PowerStop brake kit is the perfect addition to any 1994-2004 Mustang GT or V6 as well as a tremendous upgrade for 1979-1993 Fox Body Mustangs using the SN-95 Spindle 5 lug conversion. This kit is a great upgrade for GT and V6 models, but can also be used as replacement parts for your Cobra!
Cobra Style Calipers
This brake kit includes a set of remanufactured PowerStop Cobra-style two-piston brake calipers. These PowerStop brake calipers and mounting brackets feature a bare finish without the Cobra text, so that is ready for you to paint or powder coat any color you want. PowerStop Cobra-style brake calipers have all-new seals, bleeder screws and pad attachment hardware complement. The calipers are thoroughly inspected for quality and safety; pressure tested to prevent leaks and arrive full assembled with premium silicone grease on the slide pins.
Evolution Drilled & Slotted Rotors
Evolution 13" drilled and slotted brake rotors give you a combination of excellent cooling and maximum performance during extreme conditions! Precision machined with cross-drilled holes for maximum cooling while the rounded slots sweep away gas and moisture for a controlled contact patch allowing smooth, safe braking. Silver zinc dichromate plating resists rust and corrosion, keeping your rotors looking new for years to come. Rotors are 100% mill-balanced and precision-made with the correct 13" diameter with the correct vented design as the originals. The machined cross-hatched finish on the friction surface allows for optimal pad break-in and smooth, trouble-free performance.
Z26 Street Warrior Carbon-Ceramic Pads
The carbon-ceramic compound used in the PowerStop Z26 Street Warrior ceramic brake pads is intended to increase stopping power while reducing brake dust and noise. PowerStop reinforces the compound using a low-dust ceramic formula infused with carbon fiber for ultimate fade resistance and offers extraordinary stopping power under the toughest conditions. Z26 pads retain constant wear and performance while ensuring a quick break-in thanks to OE-positive mold technology and a thermally scorched pad surface. Chamfered edges help optimize cooling and suppress noise, while additional noise dampening is performed by the dual-layer rubberized shims. Stainless-steel hardware (where applicable) and hi-temp brake lubricant is included with the brake pads making it easier to complete your brake job.
J&M Stainless Braided Brake Hoses
Supplied in this kit are J&M D.O.T. certified Teflon lined braided stainless brake hoses. These brake hose assemblies use true OEM style direct replacement non-universal fittings to achieve proper factory hose routing and fitment. Expansion of stock rubber hoses causes a spongy brake pedal feel and loss of initial braking force. Installation of their Teflon-lined stainless steel hose assemblies will give your Mustang a firmer pedal, quicker braking response, and easier brake modulation. Every hose is tested to 3000 psi to guarantee a leak free hose assembly by J&M.
