RAM 75-2230 2011-2014 Mustang 5.0L Dual Disc Clutch Kit
Adding to their line of driveable dual disc Mustang clutches, RAM introduced the Force 9.5 dual disc unit. The Force 9.5 features a light pedal effort Pressure Plate and the same smooth engaging 300 series organic discs as its big brother, Force 10.5. Torque capacities are in the 800 ft/ lb. range, and all units include a ground and balanced billet aluminum flywheel. At just over 36 pounds, the Mustang Force 9.5 Clutch affords a lower inertia than larger units and carries a reasonable retail price!
The RAM Force 9.5 Clutch is the ideal entry level twin disc Mustang Clutch for street use. With torque capacity to roughly 800-foot pounds and a moderate clamp pressure, it will handle small blower, turbo, or nitrous installations and provide a light pedal effort similar to the stock clutch. In fact, drivers of our 2011-2014 5.0L Mustang GT test vehicle were not able to tell that the stock clutch was changed at all!
The floater plate is driven from three sets of straps that eliminate any floater plate rattle at idle. The top clutch disc features a 23 spline, 5 urethane encapsulated spring, hub assembly that absorbs the initial engagement of the clutch and reduces the chance of chatter on takeoff. The 2nd disk features a 23 spline solid hub. This clutch is compatible with the factory hydraulic release bearing, however the factory bearing spacer will need to be removed to maintain proper pedal travel.
Ram Dual Disc Clutch kits come with a 30 day manufacturers warranty and are STRICTLY FACTORY WARRANTY ONLY. Customer must return the unit to RAM for evaluation and inspection.
