Roush Quad Tip Active Exhaust System
Give your S550 the ultimate exhaust with the 2015-2017 Mustang GT Roush Active Exhaust system! This exhaust kit allows you to control the sound of your exhaust from inside the car. There are four settings including a custom setting so you can dial in the sound exactly how you want it. Choose Touring mode to keep your Mustang quiet on long trips, or Track mode to free up power and sound at the race track! This kit is a direct fit including plug and play electronics for an easy installation. No matter what sound you like, there's a setting for you with the Roush Active Exhaust system.
Roush is known for exceptional quality that meets or exceeds OEM standards. The Roush Active Exhaust system is no exception. This kit is constructed using mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel that resists corrosion. OEM hangers and mounting points are utilized to mount the quad tip mufflers. The four exhaust tips are chrome flashed 4" tips that fill out the rear valance. The brushed aluminum selector switch mounts to your console for a factory style installation.
Roush Active Exhaust Settings
The 2015-2017 Mustang GT Roush Active Exhaust system is essentially four mufflers in one. With the turn of a dial, you have your choice of Touring, Sport, Track, or Custom exhaust sound.
Touring:The Touring mode closes the exhaust valves all the way which keeps the exhaust volume to absolute minimum.
Sport:The Sport mode will keep the exhaust quiet during normal driving conditions. The valve position is determined by accelerator position and vehicle speed. The valve will open up under acceleration for a more aggressive sounding ride.
Track:The Track mode is wide-open. This mode will keep the tailpipe valves fully open at all times which doesn't restrict the raw sound of your Mustang. This mode is intended for track use and not legal for street use.
Custom:The Custom mode lets you create your own custom sound. Using Roush's iOS application, this allows you to personalize the exhaust sound to your specific taste. The app allows you to gain full control over the position of the valve based on vehicle speed, RPM, and accelerator position.
Plug & Play Installation
Roush's Active Exhaust system features full plug and play electronics. This kit includes all necessary wiring, modules, hardware and detailed instructions for an easy installation. The programming includes WiFi OBD2 interface that is used with Roush's Apple iOS application found on the app store. This is where you control the Custom exhaust setting. Roush's proprietary Active Exhaust system ties in with your Mustang's powertrain control module which lets the valves open based on throttle position.
