2005-10 Ford Mustang SVE Axle Back Exhaust Kit GT-GT500 - S197 by SVE

Have had these on for about two weeks now paired with pypes O/R X. These sound really clean and have a deep tone. I have tried 5 different axle backs and am very happy I got these.

First of all I want to clear the air.
These are SSS Adrenaline Axlebacks.
Not bashing in any way or form, just letting people know. I checked the serial #.
Now...that said, these are a steal!

Normally SSS axle backs run $299.99, free shipping and $269.00 it's a great bargain

These are extremely similar in tone to Borla Stingers.
I've ran the sister setup the SSS Terminators (Borla ATAK) before.

Finish is very well done. Nice welds, well packaged.
Tone is very deep. A very calm idle, and even all the way to redline it maintains a deep throaty note.

My personal setup are LTs, O/R H.
It is not obnoxious. The cam lope is very clear, but you can still drive around and not attract unwanted attention.

My only caveat would be the actual hangers.
The pipes fit perfectly on the OEM downpipes.
However the actual hangers will need some adjustments as if not they will not line up straight.
A vice works very well. But I'm sure an exhaust shop wouldn't charge much either.

I don't put the blame to LMR. I've ordered this brand before, and had the same issue.

So bottom line, if you want a deep throaty tone, but don't want SLP Loudmouth loud, or chambered rasp. These are a perfect middle ground.

Not silent at idle, and roar, not scream at WOT.

Just have to tweak the hangers a bit.

An excellent product, and a bargain price for a good Borla like sound.

Very shiny and nice looking rolled tips which is what I really like. These mufflers are fantastic quality and fit fairly well into the existing hanger brackets.

I don't have any "drone" like some claimed on my 2008 GT500. I must admit that it seems these are barely louder than my stock mufflers. But, for $299 they weigh less and look GREAT!

Anyhow, great fit and finish.

I purchased this axleback exhaust system and it sounds great. Not too loud in the neighborhood so no more complaining neighbors but combined with an X-Pipe at higher RPM these sound awesome. Couldn't be happier

Very happy with this purchase!!! These axle backs are even better than advertised, really well made and the fit and finish were amazing. I work with some very talented welders that work with stainless and aluminum every day and these guys were very impressed with the welds and the polish on these mufflers. The sound is great, I have gotten several compliments about how much better they sound than the very well known axle back system that I had previously. I would recommend this product even if it was $599.00 but at $299.00 it was a steal!!!

Easy install although I had to make a slight adjustment to the forward hanger on the passenger side-No problem. Fairly quiet at idle but really open the sound up under acceleration. Couldn't be happier with the look either. I have these behind a Roush phase 2 supercharger, BBK ceramic longtubes, and catted x-pipes. I needed to replace my worn out, restrictive flowmasters with three inch tips. Since I installed the GT500 diffuser I needed 4 inch tips and these fit perfectly with that.
Couldn't be happier with the quality either.

Super easy to install. Looks great and sounds badass! I was kinda nervous because of the low price. I didnt want my car too loud....im gettin close to 50! Just about the perfect tone for me. Beautiful welds.

The looks are great. The sound is awesome and deep. It does drone in the 2000 rpm range but I can live with it. Quality and workmanship are excellent. My garage installed in under an hour.

These sound good but I do wish they were a little bit louder. Would have given five stars but I'm having trouble getting the tips to line up straight.

I recently installed these axleback back exhaust system it was a perfect fit on my 2010 mustang sound great . I would recommend this system

I bought this kit to go along with a dual setup for my '08 V6. I was too anxious to wait for the dual installation so I put on the single axleback and I must say it that it turned my yelping 6 into a ROARING 6 when you hit the gas. Not a raspy sound at all but a throaty growl. My only complaint is that the tip sticks out a little farther than where I'd like it to be. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a better and louder exhaust.

The fit is perfect and the stock hanger locations work fine. What is good about this kit is that the tips can be removed if you want something different. The tone is great and not raspy at all like in the video, probably because that car has an X pipe. Not as loud as I thought it was going to be but it sounds a lot better after 2,000 miles. Overall great axle back with a great fit and sound!

I bought this exhaust for my 2008 mustang gt. Fast shipping and excellent fit. Bolted right up and the exhaust note was just right. Not overpowering but when you get on the gas it's presence is known....highly recommended.

Bought these for my daughters car a few months back. The fit and quality is great for the $. They are quiet at idle and cruising but have a nice tone under acceleration.

I like the look, but these are too loud for my taste.

I paired these mufflers up with a set of Long tube headers and an off road H pipe on my 2010 GT500. First off installation was easy and the quality of the muffler is good for the price. Alignment is okay.. not great. Upon first startup the idle sounded great! Deep and throaty. But as I pulled onto the highway the Rasp/tapping sound came in around 2500 rpm and then at 60 and 70 mph the drone in 6th gear is pretty bad. Its not as bad as any Flowmaster exhaust but still annoying. If you plan on just doing the mufflers and keeping the headers/midpipe stock it will probably work great, but with headers its not. I have learned my lesson with cheap axle back mufflers. Now looking into buying Corsa Sports for the drone/rasp free sound.

Put on my wife's 2008 Mustang GT. Made car sound tremendous as compared to stock exhaust. Took two and a half hours to install but that was due to me having my own welders in my motorcycle shop... If you are not good at fabricating and welding, recommend having a muffler shop install for you. The alignment was off completely and had to grind off welds for the hangers and re-weld them on to make the pipes fit as supposed to. Rear end appearance improved drastically. Finished after dark last night, so do not have photo right now of installed. Would have given it 5 stars if it was close to fitting as advertised. Other than having to do some modifications to the exhaust hangers, awesome exhaust for the price.

I'm on the fence about this exhaust. The sound is great as the revs climb into the power band and I get a nice burble when backing off the throttle. The tips are nicely shaped and the whole system is beautifully welded and polished.
On the minus side the hangers were not even close to allowing the tips to be centered in the bumper valance.
I am an experienced wrench and I gave up, taking it to a really good muffler shop where I paid $120 to get it properly installed. MUCH heating and bending of the hangers was needed.
The other negative issue is drone in the 2000 rpm range which is not real bad but annoying nonetheless.
I'm honestly not sure if I'll keep these.

i installed this system on my 07 shelby gt...took about 30 minutes on a lift. finish and sound are excellent as well as shipping time. i read other customers reviews before deciding to go with this system and i even looked a the system installed on other customers mustangs and i do not understand why they stick out a good 2"1/2 to 3" past my bumper. i have checked everything and they absolutely will not go on any further. i would give this product 5 stars except now i will have to spend extra money at a muffler shop to try and flush them up with my bumper.

Bought these after my Flowmasters rusted out, install was easy but the driver side doesn't line up with the holes for the hangers or the cut out for the exhaust tip. Not a huge deal just needs to have the hangers bent a little. These have an awesome tone when you are going good through the gears but they are more on the quiet side after having a blown out Flowmaster with a BBK catted x pipe. In the end good product if you want a muffler that will look good and turn a head every once in a while but still keep you on speaking terms with the neighborhood.

After $120.00 for professional installation(highly recommended), a very nice looking and deep sounding system. The muffler shop had to cut and re-weld the left hanger to get the mufflers to line up properly. They replaced both clamps with better and stronger clamps as one of the clamps stripped out before the muffler was tight enough. Even after the extra work done ,I am happy with this system and glad that I didn't try to install myself and recommend that other customers save their knuckles and frustrations for other projects.

When I first had this exhaust installed I was somewhat disappointed and I submitted a review stating my gripes.

Well, that was then, this is now.....After a few hundred miles I'm much more impressed. My '06 GT sounds so darned good now I have a hard time keeping my boot out of it. I'm no longer on the fence about this system. I love it.

Were it not for the $120 it cost to get the crooked hangers rectified I'd give it 5 stars

What a beautiful looking muffler kit! The stainless material and boss welds with those bad ass rolled tips. Installed the kit in my driveway, everything bolted up correctly and if I needed any adjustments it was easier to add washers under pipe hanger brackets. Which I didn't need to do. Great tone, not to loud but when you get on it, you hear it. Was also able to get it on sale too! What a deal for this kit.

For the price is can't be beat, Fitment was a little off but nothing that couldn't be solved in a few extra minutes, I paired this with Mac Longtubes, Pypes off road x, pypes mandrel bent over the axle pipe, and then finished the system with these sexy mufflers, sounds amazing, very loud!!!!!! I also have cams so It does add a little volume and rumble over a stock motor. 10/10 thumbs up

I bought these a few weeks ago and they look great, very good quality. Is is snowy here where I live so I haven't been able to drive with them but idling and revving they sound very deep. I have Pypes long tubes with a catted x pipe so I'm looking forward to how these sound on the road.

They look awesome and I love the sound it not loud but it's a deeper sound definitely makes my hot rod cams sound good only down fall is they will have to be installed at a muffler shop fitment is horrible

Great product thus far. Have had on car for a couple weeks now. Tips look great and love the sound! Fitment was as expected for a kit. And of course, great support from LRS.

I had bought this 2 weeks ago and installed it I'm less than an hour. It has a nice tone to it, definitely worth the money!

The sound of these mufflers is great, but the item I ordered was not what I received. The box had the name of SSS on it. The box contained 2 axle-back mufflers, 2 chrome tips and 4 clamps. The contents looked well made, but fitment was horrible to say the least. I had to have it installed at a local muffler shop. Now. the mufflers are straight, even and the tips are equal length out the back. Clearly, not the item as pictured. I do love the sound...and now the looks. I was surprised as I have always had good luck w/ LMR. I will continue business with them. Now...I realize that I should have inspected the product prior to my install attempt, but I didn't and that on me.

I replaced an old axle back on my 2007 Mustang GT with this SVE axleback and the sound difference is amazing! This exhaust gave me a new found interest in my car and I can't get enough of the sound. This kit is paired with BBK longtubes and off-road X pipe and (without sounding biased) it's the best sounding 3V I've ever heard. The sound is smooth and appropriately loud without sounding like a tin can. Would definitely buy again.
