S197 Mustang Mass Air Sensor
The mass air sensor, commonly referred to as the MAF sensor, is essential in keeping your S197 Mustang running correctly. The MAF sensor will help your engine computer determine how much air enters your engine to keep your fuel trims correct. When making more power, your Mustang can take in more air. This increased airflow can max out the parameters of the factory mass air sensor. Aftermarket performance mass air meters are programmable to allow for increased airflow and prevent maxing out the sensor's ability to measure the airflow.
