Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable. Once the bumper is free from all mounting points, disconnect the turn signal and side marker connections on each side. Set the bumper out of your way on a clean, padded blanket. I’ll start with the headlights. To free them from the vehicle, remove the upper and lower 10mm bolts and then the side bolt. Which is 13mm. Carefully pull the headlight forward and disconnect the electrical connections.Step 2:
Place the light on a workbench, but use a microfiber towel to provide cushion and to prevent scratching. Rotate the headlight bulb cover counter clockwise to remove it. Use two flathead screwdrivers to disconnect the electrical connection. Push the electrical connection to the side and release the two tabs holding the bulb in place. Carefully remove the bulb from the socket. Position the Diode Dynamics bulb into place and then re-clip the two retaining tabs. Plug in the electrical connection and reposition the cover. Reinstall the light and do the same for the other side.Step 3:
Moving to the bumper, unplug the turn signal electrical connection. Rotate the bulb counter clockwise to remove it from the housing. Replace the factory bulb with the included switchback. Rotate the side marker bulb counter clockwise to remove it. Replace the bulb with the LED bulb. Reinstall the side marker bulb into the housing. Repeat these steps for the other side.Step 4:
Carefully reposition the bumper and plug in all of the lights. Reconnect the battery cable and test for operation. If the turn signals or side markers don’t work, flip the orientation of the bulb in the socket to achieve the correct polarity. Reinstall the bumper in reverse order of disassembly and you’re all finished.
