The 2015-17 Mustang Roush Axle Back Exhaust Kit will utilize quality 304 stainless steel construction, 4” polished tips and mandrel bent tubing. This newly designed system will feature a hollow muffler chamber as opposed to traditional fiberglass style packing. By doing this Roush has created a system that will not have the expected drone in most cases.

I got to drive the car before and after with the Roush axle back kit, by far this has to be one of my favorites! Installation was very simple and straight forward, and fitment was spot on. All hanger locations were exactly the same from the stock so no trips to the exhaust shop were needed. The quality of the unit was top notch and you can tell Roush did the proper R&D when developing these. I noticed power gains across the RPM range after installation. Sound quality was heightened and inside and out it was amazing! I would recommend these to any 2015-17 S550 owners that are in the market for a quality USA made product.

The Roush Axleback Exhaust Kit will unleash the wild howl from your Coyote powered Mustang thanks to the tried and true Roush Mufflers. This kit will feature quality 304 stainless steel construction, mandrel bent tubing, and of course the superior quality Roush Performance is known for! Each muffler exits to a nice pair of round tips that are finished with a chrome flashing process instead of the convential chrome plating.

The chrome flashing used in this system is bonded micro-porously to the metal surface, and as a result impervious to cracking from localized damage. This method of chroming is also resistant to heat color change.

This kit includes everything needed for installation as well as detailed instructions. Since the factory exhaust on the 2015 Mustangs is welded throughout, this will require cutting of the stock exhaust. You don't have to remove the exhaust from the car to make your cut. Roush makes it very clear and straightforward so this kit should install in less than an hour!

MUSIC PLAYING] What's up, guys? Landan with latemodelrestoration.com. Today, I'm going to be checking out the Roush axleback kit for the 2015 Mustang GT.

Roush performance excels in every aspect of performance and styling for the Mustang. Doing so since 1995, they have proven their passion and commitment to excellence in every product they engineer.

Before we go into any details on this axleback kit, here's a quick clip of the factory exhaust sound.

[MUSTANG ROARING]

The Roush axleback exhaust kit will unleash the wild howl from your coyote-powered Mustang thanks to the tried and true Roush muffler. This kit will feature quality, 304 stainless steel construction, and mandrel-bent tubing. And of course, the superior quality Roush performance is known for.

Each muffler exits through a nice pair of brown tips that are finished with a chrome flashing process instead of the conventional chrome plating.

The chrome flashing used in this system is bonded microporously to the metal surface, and as a result, impervious to cracking from localized damage. This method of chroming is also resistant to heat color change.

This kit includes everything needed for installation, as well as detailed instructions. Since the factory exhaust on the 2015 Mustangs is welded throughout, this will require cutting of the stock exhaust. You don't have to remove the exhaust from the car to make your cut. Roush makes it very clear and straightforward, so this kit should install in less than an hour.

All right guys, we just got the exhaust on the car. It looks great, but I know you're all wanting to hear what it sounds like. Well, let's go ahead and take our 2015 GT for a spin.

Before we go into any details on the Roush axleback inside of our 2015 Mustang GT, we're going to go ahead and do a few red line revs outside the car.

[MUSTANG ROARING]

The Roush axleback really does have a subtle sound while cruising or at idle. However when you max the gas, it-- I mean, it really opens these coyote-powered Mustangs up.

We're cruising about 60 miles an hour, around 2000 RPM, and there's absolutely zero drone inside of the car thanks to it being an axleback, and we do keep the stock resonator in place.

All right. I'm going to go ahead give a downshift here.

All right, we got the car at about 4000 RPM. We're going to go ahead and mat the gas.

[MUSTANG ROARING]

Little bit of sideways axling. Fourth gear.

So you can see, it comes alive when you hit the gas. And in my honest opinion, that's really what I like in an exhaust. Kind of give it that sleeper look sitting still or cruising, and then when you open it up you kind of get that look like, oh wow, that's serious.

All right, guys, we're going to go ahead and let you listen to a few drivebys. Overall, I'm very happy with the way the Roush axleback woke this 5.0 Mustang up. And remember, guys, for everything 2015 Mustang, subscribe to our YouTube channel. And of course, you can pick up your Roush axleback at latemodelrestoration.com.
