BMR Jacking Rails

BMR fabrication is one of the top manufacturers of Mustang suspension components that both improve performance and increase traction. With a full line of control arms, panhard bars, shock tower braces, and k-members, you can tap into your Mustang’s true suspension potential.

Right from the top on this one! All of you should know by now how much I really dislike drilling holes into cars for parts to fit. Especially cars that are a few months old! Well, BMR brings two jacking rail options to the mix that are 100% bolt in installation. Yes! Bolt on jacking rails! Hard to believe right?

BMR’s jacking rails are constructed from 3/16” laser-cut, CNC-formed steel which will be boxed tubing measuring in at 1.5 by 2 inches. These jacking rails reuse your factory hardware, requires absolutely no cutting or welding, and will be available in either a black hammertone or red powder coated finish for years of durability. Not only will these jacking rails offer solid jacking points, but will stiffen the rigidity of your S550 as well.

Required Tools

  • Jack and Jack Stands
  • 15mm Deep Socket
  • 1/2" Drive Socket Wrench
  • Torque Wrench
  • Putty Knife

Installation Instructions

  1. Place the car on a lift or use jack and jack stands.
  2. Be mindful where you place the swing arms or stands since you’ll be working near the entire length of the pinch weld.
  3. Locate and remove the two sets of 15mm bolts located near the pinch weld.
  4. Start with the shorter of the two rails and test fit it to the passenger side using the previously removed hardware.
  5. Trim any seam sealer that was applied from the factory.
  6. Ensure that bolt holes in the rail line up with the holes in the body.
  7. Hand tighten the bolts with a 15mm socket and then torque to 63 ft/lbs.
  8. Repeat these steps for the driver side.
  9. Double check your work and you’re all done!
