Flowmaster Exhaust Warranty
Flowmaster warrants the products mentioned below against defects in materials and workmanship for the period set forth below, when they are owned by the original purchaser and remain installed on the vehicle on which they were originally installed. This warranty is void if the product was not installed properly on the vehicle, was installed on a vehicle for which it was not designed, or was removed from the vehicle on which it was originally installed and reinstalled on another vehicle. This warranty shall not apply to normal wear, cosmetic issues such as coatings and material discoloration, any product that was installed on a racing vehicle, installed improperly or contrary to Flowmaster instructions, altered, misused, repaired, damaged from an accident, collision, undercarriage road impact or debris, or willful or negligent act.
Flowmaster offers a Lifetime Limited Warranty on their stainless steel mufflers, stainless steel exhaust systems, stainless steel pipes and other stainless steel exhaust accessories except exhaust tips.
Three (3) Year Limited Warranty applies to Flowmaster aluminized steel mufflers, aluminized steel exhaust systems, aluminized steel pipes, exhaust tips and other non-race exhaust accessories.
One (1) Year Limited Warranty applies to Elite Series exhaust headers.
Flowmaster, Inc. (“Flowmaster”) extends the following limited warranty to the original purchaser of its mufflers, exhaust systems, pipes, exhaust tips, headers and other non-race accessories (hereafter “products”), excluding catalytic converters sold under the Flowmaster® brand.
Cost of labor and any additional parts required to complete installation of a replacement product are not covered by this warranty.
Flowmaster EPA Catalytic Converter Warranty
Limited Warranty: This catalytic converter is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship subject to the exclusion and conditions set forth below and subject to the durational limits in this paragraph. This catalytic converter has been designed and manufactured and is warranted to meet federal Environmental Protection Agency emission requirements for 25,000 miles. The stainless steel body and the nipples alone are warranted for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. At the conclusion of the 5 year/50,000 mile or 25,000 mile period, whichever is applicable, all liability under this limited warranty shall terminate.
Defects: If the catalytic converter is determined to be defective, Flowmaster will supply the purchaser with a new catalytic converter provided the following conditions are met:
A. The purchaser must return the converter to an authorized dealer, along with the completed warranty claim card and proof of purchase.
B. If the warranty claim relates to emission performance, the purchaser must provide proof of failure of an emission test.
C. Flowmaster® may require the purchaser to provide proof that the engine was tuned to original manufacturer’s specifications and maintained in proper operating condition.
Exclusions: Failure and/or destruction of a catalytic converter caused by the following matters are not covered by this warranty:
A. Improper installations (including installation on a vehicle for which the converter has not been cataloged) or failure to maintain the vehicle in proper operating condition with all emission control equipment properly connected and operating according to vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
B. The use of leaded fuel.
C. Damage due to accident, negligence or misuse.
D. Converters installed on vehicles with modified exhaust or emission systems.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
FLOWMASTER® SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OR INJURY TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY RESULTING FROM MISUSE OR IMPROPER INSTALLATION OF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER.
