2024-2025 Mustang Interior
The seventh-generation S650 Ford Mustang interior has been completely revamped and redesigned compared to previous generations. This new interior is the most “driver-focused” Mustang to date. Ford took their time and listened to true enthusiasts, and featured many new advancements for the new Mustang. One of the coolest features we are excited about is the raised doorframe/roofline. This may not sound like much to some, but this slight design change allows anyone tracking the car wearing a helmet ample room to enter and exit the cockpit without constantly bumping their head. If you have ever tried this on any previous generation of Mustang, you know what I am talking about. A flat-bottom steering wheel also adds to the ease of entry and styling of the S650 Mustang.
The S650 dash has been designed with the driver in mind. The unique curvature of the dash gives the driver easy visibility of all the customizable displays. This curved screen is made of two separate sections. The 12.4” digital instrument cluster is located directly in front of the driver. Mustang owners can also upgrade to a 13.2” SYNC 4 center stack screen in the center of the dash pad. If opted, these two screens are integrated together using one large section of glass for a streamlined appearance. The gauges of the S650 are similar to the ones found in the Mustang Mach-E. The cluster will allow driver customization based on the selected drive mode. This includes gauge customization from other Mustang models, including the Fox Body. Settings and drive modes will be available through either the steering wheel buttons or the driver's touch screen.
The S650 base models have either choice of cloth seating or micro-suede inserts. Mustang Ecoboost premium models will feature ‘Active-X” synthetic leather seating in various color options, while the Mustang GT premium will receive genuine leather material. Recaro seats are optional for all Performance Pack and Dark Horse Mustangs. Ford’s Sync 4 features compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Ford Streaming is a new addition for the S650 and allows Amazon Alexa podcasts, music, and more for the driver. Other notable upgrades are the popular B&O sound system that delivers one of the best factory-equipped stereo systems found in a stock Mustang.
Another exciting first for the S650 Mustang is the drift brake electric handbrake which will be available on the Ford Mustang Dark Horse and Mustang GT models with the performance package. This unique parking brake will allow for Mustang owners to take their pony car to drift events without damaging the rear differential and brakes. It will help create a nice tail slide and smokey burnout that we like to see in drift events!
