Spline count follows your transmission and trim: V6, EcoBoost, GT, and Bullitt manuals use 23-spline clutches, while GT350/R and Mach 1 step up to 26-spline. Single vs. dual disc comes down to year and trim, 2015-17 GT, V6, and EcoBoost manuals run a single-disc clutch, while 2018-23 GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, and every GT350/R use a dual-disc setup from the factory.

What rear end does my Mustang have? Every S550 Mustang uses the same 8.8" independent rear end, but the factory gear ratio varies by trim, from 3.31 on V6 and EcoBoost models up to 3.73 on Torsen Performance Pack and manual GT/GT350/R applications. Check your door tag's "AXLE" code to confirm your exact ratio before ordering gears.
