1992-1996 Ford OBS Bronco Door Panel Removal

When restoring your OBS Bronco, there are a few components that lie behind the door panel that need to be replaced over time. In order to gain access to these components, you will need to remove your door panel. Today, we will walk you through the quick and easy steps of removing an OBS Bronco door panel.

Tool List:

• Phillips Head Screwdriver

• Plastic Pry Tool 

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Open The Door To Access The Interior Panel

Step 2: Begin by Removing the Upper Innermost Screw on the Door Panel Using a Phillips Head Screwdriver.

Step 3: Continue Working Your Way Down the Door Panel and Towards the Rear, Removing All Phillips Head Screws.

Step 4: Remove the Screw Inside the Door Cup.

Step 5: Take Out the Screw Retaining the Switch Cover.

Step 6: Carefully Pry Up on the Cover to Free It from the Door Panel.

Step 7: If You Are Working on the Driver's Side, Disconnect the Electrical Connector with the Power Mirror Switch If Equipped.

Step 8: Remove the Three Screws Securing the Switch Assembly to the Cover. Note That One of the Screws May Be Missing on Your Bronco.

Step 9: Starting at the Upper Rear Corner of the Door Panel, Carefully Dislodge the Push Pins with the Plastic Trim Removal Tool. Work Your Way Around the Entire Panel Until All of Them Are Dislodged.

Step 10: Lift Up on the Door Panel, Pass It Over the Handle, and Remove the Courtesy Light Connection.

Step 11: Rotate the Courtesy Light Counterclockwise and Set the Door Panel Aside.
