Step-by-Step Guide:
Make sure the vehicle is turned off, with the key in the "on" position or in the accessory position.
Lower the rear window and turn the key to the off position.
Release the spare tire latch and swing the spare tire out of the way.
From inside the tailgate, lift the handle and gently lower the tailgate.
Carefully roll back the sheathing on the upper seat belt anchor point and remove
the bolt using a T50 Torx socket. Repeat for the other side.
Starting on either the driver or passenger side, carefully remove the six push pins running the length of the side window trim using a panel removal tool.
Remove the panel from the vehicle. Repeat for the other side.
At the rear corner of the top, pull the trim panel away to dislodge the push pins. If any push pins stay behind, remove them from the top and reinstall them onto the trim. Repeat for the other side.
In the driver's side rear corner, dislodge the harness clip from the top and disconnect the electrical connection if needed.
Release the seat back and seat bottom if necessary.
Starting with the driver's side roof trim, loosen and remove the Phillips head screws.
Remove the screw securing the center trim piece and loosen the other two screws securing the passenger side roof trim. Keep the trim in place so it doesn't fall down when removing the last screw. Set the trim pieces aside.
Starting on the driver's side and working around the body to the passenger side, loosen and remove the bolts securing the top to the body using a T40 tamper-proof Torx bit socket. Note the position of the brackets for reference during reinstallation.
With the help of two friends, lift the top at roughly a 35-degree angle to clear the front weatherstrip and locating dowel on the driver's side roof. Safely remove the top and set it in a safe area, preferably on towels, or other soft surfaces.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
