Replacing the spark plugs is one of the most common parts to replace on your 1st or 2nd gen Lightning. If the spark plugs are not gapped to the proper specification, misfires and no-start situations can occur. The distance between the electrodes of the center and the side of the spark plugs is known as the spark plug gap. You can find a spark plug gap tool at any of your local auto parts stores to ensure the plug gap is correct.
