How To Remove 2005-2014 Mustang Door Panels

If you are looking to remove or install the door panel on your 2005-2014 Mustang, then this quick guide will help show you the steps involved! Simply reverse the removal steps to install the door panel.

  • 7mm Socket or Nut Driver
  • T-27 Torx Bit
  • Pry Tool Set
  • Small Pick Set
  • Needle Nose Pliers
  • Razor Blade

Installation Instructions

Step 1: Remove Door Panel

  • Start by removing the (7) 7mm bolts surrounding the door panel.
  • Use a pick tool to reveal the access hole covers to remove the bolts if equipped.
  • Remove the mirror adjustment cover and disconnect the wiring harness.
  • Pull the inner door handle to pop out the hole cover and remove the T-27 Torx bolt.
  • Next, remove the hole cover next to the door grab handle to remove the other T-27 Torx bolt.
  • Take a pry tool to pop off the switch bezel, then disconnect and remove it.
  • Once all of the hardware and harnesses are disconnected, you can start to pull off the door panel.
  • Disconnect the lock switch and the door handle cable to fully remove the door panel.

Step 2: Reinstall Door Panel

  • To reinstall the door panel, simply reverse the removal steps above.
  • After this, you are good to go!
