How To Reset Oil Life In 2010-2012 Mustangs

Step 1: Turn The Key To "Key On"

• Insert the key and turn the key to the "on" position. DO NOT START THE CAR.
• If you have the door open, you will see "DRIVER DOOR AJAR" in your message center.

Step 2: Run Through Reset Sequence

• Push the reset button located below your headlight switch.
• Your message center should display your last trip setting.
• Click the "Setup" button twice. Ensure that "Oil Life" is displayed.
• Hold reset until your oil life is reset as displayed on the message screen.
• After that you can turn your key to the off position and you are all done.

Step 2: Run Through Reset Sequence

• Depending on what mode you are in, you will want to arrow all the way back to the main menu.
• Scroll down and click settings.
• Click Vehicle.
• Click oil life reset.
• Choose your reset level and hold to reset.
• After that you can turn your key to the off position and you are all done.
