• Oil Capacity: 8.5 qts
• Oil Viscosity: 5w-50 Full Synthetic

Tool List

• Lift or Jack & Jack Stands
• Microfiber Towels
• Brake Clean
• 15mm Socket or Wrench
• 8mm Socket

Torque Specs

• Oil Pan Drain Plug - 19 lb-ft
• Oil Filter Tray Bolts - Hand Tight (80 lb-in)
• Oil Filter - 142 lb-in

Oil Change Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Tools:

• Ensure you have the necessary tools such as a socket set, push pin removal tool, a drain pan, and a funnel.

Step 2: Remove Oil Pan Drain Plug:

• Position your drain pan under your drain plug and slowly rotate the plug to remove it. 
• While oil is draining, take this time to clean your oil drain plug and inspect the gasket. Replace if necessary.
• Once drain is complete and the oil has slowed to a drip, reinstall the drain plug, using a towel and brake clean to clean up any residual oil around the plug.

Step 3: Remove Lower Close Out Panel:

• Using a 7mm socket, remove the 3 bolts holding the close out panel in place.

Step 4: Remove Old Oil Filter:

• Locate the oil filter.
• Optional: Place cardboard around the bottom of the oil filter adapter to divert any oil into your catch can.
• Loosen the oil filter and let the oil drain into the pan.
• Wipe the area around the oil filter adapter.

Step 5: Prepare Oil Filter:

• Clean the O-ring of the new oil filter with brake clean and a microfiber towel.
• Blow out any debris from the filter.
• Pre-oil the filter and lubricate the O-ring with a thin film of fresh engine oil.

Step 6: Install New Oil Filter:

• Screw on the new oil filter until it makes contact with the oil filter adapter.
• Tighten hand-tight, then give it a little extra turn.
• Check for any leaks or drips.

Step 7: Reinstall Lower Closeout Panel:

• Reverse the removal steps for the lower closeout panel.

Step 8: Fill Engine with Oil:

• Open the hood and locate the oil fill cap.
• Use a clean funnel to pour 8.5 quarts of 5W50 oil into the engine.
• Replace the oil fill cap, start the car and allow to run for 5 minutes. Shut the car off and check oil level with dipstick.

How To Reset Oil Life In 2013-2014 Mustangs w/ Track Apps

Step 1: Turn The Key To "Key On"

• Insert the key and turn the key to the "on" position. DO NOT START THE CAR.
• If you have the door open, you will see "DRIVER DOOR AJAR" in your message center.
• Click "Ok" on your steering wheel to get out of this message.

Step 2: Run Through Reset Sequence

• Depending on what mode you are in, you will want to arrow all the way back to the main menu.
• Scroll down and click settings.
• Click Vehicle.
• Click oil life reset.
• Choose your reset level and hold to reset.
• After that you can turn your key to the off position and you are all done
