We've dyno'd quite a few S197 gen 1 Coyote cars, and every time we do, it's a subtle reminder how fun these cars are. Even being 11+ years old at the time of the video, we can still appreciate the first iteration of the Coyote engine. After all, this is the one that laid the groundwork for where we are today with the Coyote engine platform.

Brandon's 2013 Mustang GT/CS (California Special) is no slouch. With simple bolt-ons and E85 fuel, this car is making almost the advertised flywheel horsepower through a 6R80 transmission! In stock form, the Gen 1 cars dyno around 360-370HP (give or take as every car is different). That's 41-51 additional horsepower to the tire!
