Mustang LED Switchback Conversion.
LED bulb technology is dominating the car scene these days! Here at LMR, we are proud to offer this Diode Dynamics 2015-2017 Mustang switchback, turn signal bulb conversion. This kit will convert the front end to LED to match the factory rear LED lights. Mustang S550 LED bulbs emit a pure white light instead of the dingy lights that come from the factory. This ensures you are seen day or night without blinding the vehicles in front of you. These bulbs have excellent heat dissipation, so you do not have to worry about melting or burning your lens.
Diode Dynamics Quality.
Don't be fooled by other bulbs that use "calculated" lumen numbers. Diode Dynamics tests the true brightness of their bulbs in their lab to provide real lumen output measurements. They use only the highest quality LED chips in the production of their bulbs. Using brand-name suppliers like Samsung, Epistar, Cree, and Osram. All of Diode Dynamics' bulbs are produced with modern, computerized equipment and the best materials for high quality and long bulb life.

- 7444 HP24 White/Amber x2 front turn signal switchback bulb
Technical Note:
- With the LED Turn Signal bulbs installed, the cadence (rhythm of the blinker) of the indicator on the cluster as well as the associated flasher relay "click" will be faster than stock. However, the exterior function of the bulbs will remain at the stock cadence. This is normal operation for these and other brand LED signal bulbs for 2015-2017 Mustangs.

What’s up everybody? Landan with lmr.com! Today I’ll be taking a look at Diode Dynamics front turn signal switchback kit designed for the 2015 to 2017 Mustangs; as well as installing a kit into our 2015 Mustang GT.
LED lighting is popular upgrade amongst all automotive enthusiasts because of their light output and high-end look.
Diode Dynamics put together this front side marker and turn signal kit for the Mustang enthusiast out there looking to add LED styling to these particular areas.
The front side marker bulb included in the kit is their 194-based HP3 bulb that provides 56 lumens of light output and is a pure white light.
The turn signal bulb is Diode Dynamics’ HP24 bulb that incorporates switchback technology.
When the blinker or emergency flashers are activated, the bulb will switch from the cool white color to an amber color.
This kit will fit all 2015 to 2017 Mustangs and in the box will be two side marker bulbs and two turn signal bulbs.
Now a quick technical note concerning LED bulbs is that the cadence or rhythm of the blinker on the dash will flash faster than it did with the halogen bulbs.
This is because an LED bulb draws less power than a halogen bulb.
The cadence or rhythm of the bulb itself will remain the same and flash in accordance with the tail light.
For this install, I’ll be pulling the front wheels off of the car.
This is completely optional, but it only takes about 5 minutes and will allow easier access to the bulbs.
If you’re removing the wheels, support the car and remove the front wheels.
With the wheel off, locate the three small push pins around the perimeter of the splash shield.
Pull the center of the pin outward and then completely remove each push pin.
Remove the larger inward push pin.
Underneath the car, remove the other large push pin securing the lower close out panel to the splash shield.
Pull the splash shield out of the way to access the two bulb connections.
Rotate the connection and bulb socket counter clockwise to remove it from the housing.
Remove the factory bulb.
Install the Diode Dynamics bulb and then turn the lights on to verify polarity.
If the bulb doesn’t power on, remove it and rotate 180 degrees, and plug it back in.
When the light powers on, reinstall the socket and rotate clockwise to lock it into place.
Rotate the side marker counter-clockwise to remove it from the housing.
Remove the bulb and install the bulb with the lights on.
Check polarity and rotate the bulb if needed.
Reinstall the socket and rotate clockwise to lock it into place.
Reposition the splash shield and reinstall the push pins.
Reinstall the wheel, do the same for the other side, and then you’re all finished.
Alright guys; wrapping things up here. LED bulbs in general are always a nice upgrade to Mustangs.
