2016 was a carry-over year from 2015 with very few changes. The GT350 was carried over with more produced to meet demand. Ford brought back the California Special, which featured upgraded styling and appearance as well as the Pony package which added 19" polished aluminum wheels, a unique grille, side stripes, and chrome window highlights to the turbocharged 4 cylinder Ecoboost Mustang.
