Installation Instructions

Step 1: Remove & Transfer Reverse Camera

  • With the OEM spoiler module removed from the car, loosen and remove the (2) T15 Torx screws securing the camera hold-down bracket.
  • Remove the camera. Take this time to wipe down the camera as needed.
  • Place the RTR spoiler on your workbench and install (2) of the provided speed clips for the camera hold-down screws.
  • Situate the camera in place followed by the RTR supplied bracket.
  • The camera connector will face away from the RTR logo.
  • Install the supplied T20 Torx screws to secure the camera.

Step 2: Transfer Factory Hardware To RTR Spoiler

  • Working from left to right on the OEM spoiler, remove and transfer the hardware one at a time over to the RTR spoiler.
  • To remove the speed nuts, you may have to pry up on the keeper tab.
  • If the speed nut isn't secure once on the RTR spoiler, remove it and push down on the tab and reinstall it.
  • If the T bolts are difficult to remove, a very light tap of the hammer will dislodge them.
  • Continue working untill all of the hardware has been transferred to the RTR spoiler.

Step 3: Install RTR Spoiler

  • If you have not already done so, take this time to ensure that the top of the trunk lid has been thoroughly cleaned and old adhesive has been removed.
  • Wipe this area with a microfiber towel and prep spray.
  • Dog ear the backing of the double-sided tape on each end.
  • Hold the spoiler near the trunk lid and reconnect the rear camera.
  • Insert the harness into the slots on the spoiler.
  • Align the T bolts with the holes in the trunk lid and slide the spoiler into place. Open the trunk lid and hold the spoiler in place while you do this.
  • Reinstall the OEM nuts, run them down until they barely touch the trunk lid.
  • Reinstall the (4) 7mm screws and run them down until they also barely touch.
  • The outward 10mm bolts will NOT be reused.
  • Lower the trunk lid and remove the backing of the double-sided tape.
  • Firmly press onto the leading edge of the spoiler for a minimum of 30 seconds to achieve proper adhesion.

Step 4: Reinstall Trunk Components

  • Open the trunk lid and torque the nuts to 49 lb-in and the screws to 22 lb-in.
  • Reinstall the outward grommets followed by the trim panel and push pins.
  • Reinstall the bumpers and latch cover.
  • Finally reposition the emergency release handle into its slot on the trim panel. After this you are good to go!
