Buckle up, Fox Body fans; we have some great news for you! Landan and Jude took a trip up to Detroit, Michigan, to attend the Motor City Fox Fest and check out all of the great Fox Bodies that were in attendance. Little did they know, they would witness the unveiling of two new Fox Body parts that Ford Performance will be offering in the future.

Ford Performance Ford MOTORSPORT Logo Fox Body Recaro Seats

The first product that the Ford Performance team unveiled was their Ford MOTORSPORT Logo Fox Body Recaro Seats. The seats seen here are a concept, according to a Ford Performance representative, and are still in the works with no ETA or pricing as of this time. These seats were made by Recaro for Ford Performance and were seen in both black and grey finishes. As many of you Fox Body enthusiasts might remember, Recaro played a part in Fox Body history with their help on the 1979-82 Pace Car & Cobra seats.

While the FP rep did not make mention of the type of materials that were used on the seats, we can see from these photos that the materials used are nothing short of their well-known quality. What we do know is that the concept seats featured the following:

  • Black or Grey Material
  • Small White Ford Logo On Headrest
  • Original Ford "MOTORSPORT" Logo On The Upper Seat Back
  • Classic 3 Bar Leather Or Similar Material Accent In "MOTORSPORT" Color Way
  • "RECARO" Logo Below 3 Bars
  • Double-Stich Pattern In "MOTORSPORT" Color Way Colors
  • Redesigned Seat Latch/Seat Release Latch

Ford Performance Ford MOTORSPORT Logo Fox Body Car Cover

The second product that Ford Performance showcased was their new Ford MOTORSPORT car cover. This car cover is designed to fit Fox Body Mustangs and will feature the original Ford MOTORSPORT livery we all love. The cover seems to fit the body lines of the hatchback FP displayed it on very well, reminiscent of most modern car covers that are soft and easy on your car's paint. The traditional MOTORSPORT racing stripes run from the front bumper to the "MOTORSPORT" logo at the top of the windshield, similar to the design cues of many Mustangs. These lines run down the sides and wrap above the hatch, where the car cover sports a blue bottom/rear and more Ford "MOTORSPORTS" branding.

Wrapping Things Up

While these two new products are exciting enough, the representative from Ford Performance says that this is just the beginning and that more Ford Performance Fox Body parts are on the way. This is an exciting time to be in to see FP getting back to their roots, bringing back the MOTORSPORTS branding, and producing new Fox Body parts.

We here at LMR.com are excited to see what Ford Performance is going to bring to the table, and you can rest assured that we will be offering any new Ford Performance Fox Body parts. Sign up for our newsletter below to be the first to know about new Fox Body parts!
