If you are wondering how to adjust and aim the headlights on your 2010-2014 Mustang, then this guide will help make the process easy! This process works for both non-HID and HID-equipped Mustangs. This is a simple procedure, as these lights will only have a one-way vertical adjustment, there is no horizontal adjustment.

  • Phillips Head screwdriver or 7mm Allen wrench
  • Tape
  • Tape Measure
  • Flat Ground
  • Wall

Instructions

Step 1: Prep For Adjustment

  • Start by parking the car about 25ft away from the wall that you will be using.
  • Next, measure the height of each headlight from the ground up. This will be the same height at which you install the tape on the wall.
  • Then place tape horizontally on the wall across from the car at the same height as the headlights.

Step 2: Adjust Headlights

  • Turn the headlights on and open the hood.
  • Using the Phillips head screwdriver, make the necessary adjustment to properly aim your headlights. 
  • Turning the screw counterclockwise will raise the headlight beam, and turning it clockwise will lower the light beam.
  • Once you have the headlights aimed just under the tape, you will have successfully adjusted the headlights.
  • Take the car for a test drive to ensure proper visibility. After this, you are good to go!
