Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Determine the Correct Bracket

• Before starting, identify the passenger side reinforcement repair bracket.
  
  

Step 2: Prepare the Door Panel for Installation

• To avoid damaging the jute padding, gently roll it back.
• Consider using painters tape or Gaff tape to secure the jute padding temporarily.
  
  

Step 3: Scuff the Door Panel

• Use a green scotch bright to roughen the surface of the door panel.
• Ensure you also scuff underneath the lip or flange.
  
  

Step 4: Clean the Prepared Area

• Wipe the scuffed area with isopropyl alcohol to remove any impurities, dirt, or oils.
• Ensure the surface is clean to allow proper adhesion of the adhesive.
  
  

Step 5: Prepare the Repair Bracket

• Put on nitrile gloves to prevent oil transfer from your hands.
• Clean the side of the bracket that will adhere to the door panel.
  
  

Step 6: Apply the Adhesive

• Use the adhesive sparingly, covering the entire reinforcement repair bracket.
• Be cautious not to use too much adhesive, as it can damage the plastic.
  
  

Step 7: Spread the Adhesive

• Spread the adhesive using a spreading tool or your finger (protected with gloves).
• Ensure even coverage over the bracket.
  
  

Step 8: Position the Bracket

• Place the bracket in position on the door panel, matching the dry fit from earlier.
• Press it into place with your hands, and ensure it fits snugly.
  
  

Step 9: Clamp the Bracket

• Use rubber-padded clamps to hold the bracket securely in place.
• Do not over-tighten; the clamps should be snug but not excessive.
  
  

Step 10: Allow the Adhesive to Dry & Remove Clamps

• Wait for the adhesive to dry; it's recommended to wait at least an hour for it to set properly.
• Once the adhesive has dried, carefully remove the clamps.
  
  

Step 11: Check the Result

• Inspect the repaired area; it should have securely attached the bracket to the door panel.
  
  

Step 12: Reinstall Inner Door Belt Weather Strip

• If required, bend the tabs on the weather strip to fit over the repair bracket.
• Align the tabs and engage the clips to reattach the weather strip.
  
  

Step 13: Finishing Touches

• Reinstall the door panel and check for proper alignment on the weather strip.
