Just about every weather strip on a Fox convertible deteriorates into nothing. Luckily, we have all the common replacements under our 5.0Resto brand, just like these quarter window vertical weatherstrips. Installation isn't very hard, but it can be a little time consuming for what it is. I want to show you the high points for what it takes to install these vertical weatherstrips on your Fox convertible.

I started by lowering the top for full access to the quarter windows. The weather strip actually slides into place, but ours was stuck like Chuck so it came out in pieces with the help from a pair of pliers. Be very careful not to damage the metal trim. Using a liberal dose of silicone spray lube, I slid the new weatherstrip into place. It will still take a bit of effort.

For being such a small, simple piece of weatherstrip, the quarter window vertical weatherstrips sure do put up quite a bit of fight whenever they're coming off. But luckily, with a little bit of silicone spray, they do pop right back into position. You can pick up these, along with all your other needed convertible top weatherstrip at latemodelrestoration.com.
