Mustang Headlight Finishing Kit.
Replace your broken or missing headlight adjusting plates with this complete 1987-1993 Mustang headlight finishing kit! The Fox headlight has multiple different pieces that are vital to the proper function of these headlights. If you've bought new headlight housings, you'll want to use this kit to ensure proper fitment, adjustment, and function of your new headlights. The factory headlight components are usually cracked or dry rotted by now. This kit will include all new rubber, adjusting plates, and finishing hardware. Great for use with our 5.0 Resto headlights!

What’s up everyone? Landan with LMR.com! In this video, I’ll be taking a closer look at 5.0 Resto’s headlight finishing kit designed for the 1987 to 1993 Fox Mustangs.
One of the core restoration items for 87 to 93 Mustangs are the headlights and the parts that are associated with the headlights.
These components include the adjuster plates, adjusting screws, adjuster plate to header panel studs, adjuster screw retaining clips, bulb retainers, headlight seals and of course the retaining nuts.
5.0 Resto’s headlight finishing kit includes everything you need to restore the headlight components in your Fox Mustang.
This kit should appeal to any Fox enthusiast out there who is currently restoring the car and already have a decent set of lights or someone who is installing a new set of headlights.
Now what you’ll get with this kit is as follows: a left-hand and right-hand adjusting plate, (2) headlight seals, (6) adjusting screws, (6) adjusting screw to headlight clips, (6) adjusting plate to header studs, (2) bulb retainers, and (14) factory-style retaining nuts which will secure the headlight, park light, and side markers on both sides.
For this video, I’ll be showing you a few of the up-close steps of where this hardware
This will provide you with a little bit better understanding on how some of this hardware works.
Start by installing the mounting studs into the adjuster plates.
The coarse thread installs into the plastic plate, and cuts its own threads.
Install three of the long adjuster studs into their respective holes on the adjuster plate.
Thread all of them half way into the adjuster plate.
The hexagonal end will face the same direction as the mounting studs or towards the header panel once installed.
Align the adjuster studs and adjuster plate with the correct headlight.
Fully seat each adjuster into each of three holes on the headlight.
Then engage three of the clips to secure the adjuster studs in place.
You’ll then install the head light seals.
Verify that all of the metal locking clips are positioned in the up-right position and not at angle.
The seals are not side specific.
Simply align the top groove and then fully seat the four locking clips.
Install a bulb and then rotate the bulb retainer clock-wise to lock it into place.
Repeat these steps for the other headlight.
When installing 87 to 93 Fox Body lights, be sure and start with the headlight first; followed by either the side marker or park light.
Be sure and secure each light with the provided retaining nuts.
