How To Install Fox Body Mustang Radiator Hoses (86-93) - How To Install Fox Body Mustang Radiator Hoses (86-93)

Drain all coolant out of the radiator.

Replace the lower hose.

Remove the upper hose, but do not put the new one on yet.

Remove the water pump to heater tube hose.

Remove the bypass hose.

Depending on your application, you may need to cut approximately a ½” from the long side of the bypass hose. This will assist with installation of this hose onto the water pump and thermostat housing.

Slide two clamps over the bypass hose.

Install the bypass hose onto the water pump first, followed by the thermostat housing.

Orientate the clamps and tighten them accordingly.

Install the water pump to heater tube hose and then secure the clamps.

Install the upper radiator hose.

Remove both the supply and return heater hoses on the firewall.

Install the new supply hose with clamps onto the heater core barb closest to the center of the car. Make note of the orientation of the flow restrictor and install this hose to the lower fitting on the heater tube.

Install the heater return hose with clamps and then tighten all the clamps associated with the supply and return heater hoses.

Ensure that the drain plug on the radiator is reinstalled and tightened up.

Fill the radiator with new or re-used coolant (Fill the radiator with the same amount of coolant that was removed or compensate for any lost coolant during this process).
