Hey, what’s up guys! Landan here with LMR.com! This video will cover my general walk through on removing your factory front bumper from your 2010 to 2012 Mustang.
To begin installation, disconnect the negative battery cable. Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the plastic push pins holding down the radiator cover. The push pin closest to the driver side fender may require an actual push pin removal tool. Remove the cover and set it aside.
Now you can remove the two 8mm bolts securing the bumper pillars to the core support. Removal of the intake is optional. I chose to do this to free up a little more light on the driver side and for more work room. Now support the vehicle via a lift or jack stands. Remove the two 7mm screws securing the bumper to the bumper support bracket.
Do the same for the other side and then remove the other 7mm screws underneath the car securing the bumper to the close out panel. Carefully pry the bumper free from the side brackets. Disconnect the park lights and make sure the bumper pillars are free from the tabs on the core support. Carefully remove the bumper and then set it aside.
This quick video will help any enthusiast who is wanting to make front end upgrades that requires removal of the front bumper. Removing the front wheels is optional, but it does provide additional clearance. Until next time fellas, keep it right here with LMR.com!
